searched through to find out straight answer about vtr cams!

i no there is alot said about cams but i want to find out exactly how much power gain i would get on my 99 vtr with a set of fast road cams and then how much power would a remap add to that can anyone giv me a straight answer? cheers fellow saxheds!

The misconseption is that cams dont up your BHP, they improve your engines potential for more power if you know what i mean.
Thats probably why its so gay when you want a straight answer. My advise to you is to look at different modded VTR engines and see their different outputs. That will give you more of an idea of what needs to be done to acheive those sorts of power.

if you read through my post again my may notice i was just offering advice, i cant see why you think im being a twat.
I said its gay because there is no straight answer. If you dont beleive me put JUST a cam in and see what happens.

If you read what you said you asked how much BHP a CAM gives you, the cam doesnt give you the wanted gains until the other work is done thats all i was saying. And thats why i said its gay as you cant get a straight answer (trying to be on your side)

you would need to get your engine remapped to see a decent increase in hp.

no prob rushy, my bad! just wat it looked like to me! wat i am goin to do in the near future is ad the cams and get a remap, wat power gain this would give me is all i wanted to kno, only other engine mods i have are green induction, stainless from cat bac and a 1.1gearbox

putting a cam in will not release the full potential unless the fueling is sorted to siut it, gain will be seen but not the best!! cam + remap = happy chappy!
