Hallo all, right my rear (bottom) engine mount needs replacing. So I phoned up Camberly Auto Factors and they have supplied the part. However all I have is a cycliner of rubber with a metal cover around the cirumference. After looking under my car I have seen that this fits inside a hold which then has 2 bolts to attach it to the car/engine. Will the old one be easy to get out of this holder its in? Also will the new one be easy to get in the original holder? Or should I have been supplied with the part I already have already inside the holder? Thanks again people.

Fred

these are a piece of p**s to fit m8 but make sure you put it on the correct way as it will bolt on either way,if you put it on wrong it will take your gearbox right up to the bulk head so make sure you take notice which way it comes off, should only take 10mins to do as theres only three bolts or sumit

the best way to do it mate is put the old frame with the bush inside in a vice, get a bar and position it on the old mount and hit it with a hammer, then it will go flying out lol

get ure new bush and get it lined up with the hole you now have in the mount and press it into place using the vice, u wont be able to do it any other way as it has to be tight!

then refit the mount to your car, you will know which way it goes as the curve on the mount will contour with where it sit, tighten up the 2 bolts that hold it on and then your away

i did mine in the dark and it was easy so you;ll be fine to do it yourself
