I dissagree for sound I would avoid an enclosed because in is wat it says it is . . . enclosed. so watever sound is also enclosed. Ive got a Green enclosed filter on my VTS at the moment but am going back to an open cone because 1) Questionable performance & 2) lack of induction noise.
I found a 106Gti induction kit which is like a K&N Gen2 which Im fittin over this weekend hence my 'signature' says 106GTi induction kit.
Take alook on ebay, find a cone either Foam (Pipercross style) or Cotton (K&N style) then take a look on www.espdesign.co.uk and get some ali tubing and silicone tubin and make your own. That way you can have wat you want where u want it :-)
