how do i change the thermostat

Not sure different to mine - if your really in a rush to change it, treat yourself to a Haynes (The Saxo Bible) Im sure someone will post a yes to the question soon tho.

Make sure you give the bolts a good spray with WD40 to help you out before tryin to get the bolts out

take the pipes off and unbolt it from your head. you will need some sealent when refitting though.

what type of sealent should i use?

so all i have to do is take the pipe undo the 2 bolts (in yellow) put new thermostat in put some sealent on it and bolt it back on then bleed system? or unbolt it from the head? unbolt what from the head and what bolts?

I havr changed the thermostat and refilled the system and filed it up till coolant came out of all three bleeds. I then put a coke bottle ontop and then started the engine. The coke botle filled with coolant and dint go down, the fan then came on and it still dint go down. Turned of the engine then the coolant went bak into the radiator is this all normal? o and theres no heat coming from the heaters still.

come on people need to no what i have done wrong il put it in another way as gf write that I have just changed my thermostat and flushed the coolent system out have refilled the system. is this right i filled it up till water came out the 1st bleed then closed it then did same with thermostat bleed and heater bleed i then let the engine run with the radiator cap off ran it for about 5 minits and saw i had a leak so fixed the leak, started it again with coke bottle on with a little bit of coolent in after about 5 minits the coke bottle was filling up with coolent then i remember i have 2 have heaters on full so turned them on no heat was coming out and the coke bottle was half full by this time and the fan had just started comin on and off but water stayed the same so i felt the top hose and it was relly hot the bottom hose was cold and so was both heater hoses any 1 no what to do need to sort it asap thanks liam
