engine change

i have a 1.6 16 vaule engine out of a peugeot 206 i want to put that engine into a saxo R reg 1.1i can this b done? i no the fittings are the same for the fixing of the engine i just need to no whether the ecu will run?

i dont think the mounts are the same, isnt the pug an XU engine? you might be able to use saxo mounts but you'd have to also use a mk1 vts ecu, engine loom and sensors ( i think)

the ecu from that wont work but you can run it using a vts ecu and inlet throttle body etc.

they are TU engines sean.
