Fryers fitted my strut braces this morning, but had massive problems with the top one, its an OMP vts/gti one which if it fits a vts theoretically should fit a vtr....does it hell...the bonnet wouldnt shut, it was pushing the bonnet up at one part in the ares above the rocker cover to the left, we removed the bonnet lifter and that was ok on the right side but the sticking out bit on the bonnet wouldnt let you shut the other side
cue a hammer and bashing the bonnet to make a dip in it, kinda worked except i have 2 small dints on the outside and it still doesnt look right, it shuts but is higher on the fuse box side....
any ideas? i dont really want to bash the bonnet anymore...

Was it just the clearance problems with the bonnet?
Did it fit the towers ok? Sometimes you have to slightly jack one side of the car to get the towers to fit the strut brace but this doesnt happen often.

Take off the bonnet prop (keep it in your boot or under a seat) and then try it, i had to remove that on mine and also when i tightened the brace it bought it lower. No problems after doing those 2 things
