Hey, just a few questions, keep in mind im pretty new when it comes to modifying my car etc :)
I currently have a 1.4 Furio X reg, its my first car and im trying to think what i wana do to it first, probobly gona go for an induction kit+exhaust as suggested in another post. But i would also like to explore other options, such as engine conversion just to get an idea ;).
My car :) (pic)

How big a job would it be to fit a VTR/VTS engine into a furio?
How big a difference is VTR compared to VTS, performance rise?
Would it be easier/cheaper to just buy a standard VTR/VTS car and sell my furio, rather than go for a conversion?
What parts would need to be purchased besides the engine? ( to make it fit (?) )
Is there any good places/websites you would suggest to buy an engine?
Sorry for the newish questions :fcuk:, all help appreciated, thanks in advance!!

Not that bigger job to get a VTR or a VTS lump into a furio at all mate will fit straight in with the correct parts!
There is a massive difference between the VTR and VTS 22/30bhp depending on which model VTR you compare it to! but the VTS is a group 14 insurance, the VTR is a group 7! the only difference is the 16v and twin cam in the VTS!
Maybe cheaper to convert but depends who does it for you!
search for the parts needed, as im not 100% certain but stuff like a wiring loom, ecu, etc
buy an engine off one of the guys on here there always selling one, and 90% of them hve all the fittings you will need to transplant! hope this helps matey!

To convert to a VTS you will need....
1) Obv engine (block and head)
2) Single plug VTS loom or 3 Plug loom depending on what yours is. DO NOT
TRY AND USE GTI LOOM
3) VTS ecu unlocked!
4) VTS Rad and fan. Vtr one will do trick but get a VTS if possible.
5) Various pipe work from cit/pug. IE- Top rad hose (if you can get vts rad)
6) Replace all belts whilst engine is out (easier)
You can use your std fuel pipes, driveshafts, gearbox but i would suggest fitting new gear linkages cause they bend rather easy if engine clips them.
WillaimsVTS just converted mine for nowt ( free plug :D ) but overall i spent about 500 quid on the conversion.
For VTR engine basiclly you will need engine, loom, ecu (unlocked).
Anymore questions just pm me :D

Well i checked out the insurance on a VTS and i think the insurance company wont even insure me on it which probobly means most companys would charge loads, so i guess VTR would be the only option for a conversion for me :P
