:err: hi ppl. im in the process of putin my turbo kit on my vtr. because i am adding a thicker head gasket to lower compression, i was wondering if ne1 cud tell me wot torque settings i shud use for it. i have found the oil feed, also have added a 5th injector to the intake pipe but woz wonderin where to put the breather pipes from my original air box too? i wud appreciate the help. cheers:err:

I would have thought the normal torque setting for the head bolts would be fine if there are no instructions on the gaskets itself, they are stretch bolts anyway.lol

thats wot i thort, but still dnt know the torque settings for the original 1.lol.:bump: :bump: :bump: :bump: :bump: :bump: :bump: :bump:

pop into your local halfrauds and have a look in the haynes manual... i will check the torque later for you mate because im going out now.....I do remember you have to torque them up in a set order and then turn them an extra 90 degrees if that makes sense..

I hope you got the head skimmed to get it all flat again and rubbed down the block before fitting a thicker gasket

ye mate, im skimmin it properely coz my mates doin it for me. good price aswell!

waste of time fitting just a thicker head gasket as with skimming the head ur back to where u started before touching the engine.

should of fitted 2 head gaskets or a decomp plate

hi people, just need to put a oil return to the sump, ive searched and found few pics but would i have to weld on a bolt or is there a special adapter i can buy as i dnt want it sticking out 2 much inside the sump.

ive got a remote oil filter kit but was wondering if i could just get a t-piece to the oil return on the kit instead of modifying sump.

wud appreciate some help as i have nearly finished it off now.

remove sump and weld insuitable pipe ,must be nice down hill slope from tirbo ,no loops or u bends in it ,or it will cause back up of oil
