personally i could think of better things to put 50 quid against, if the gear shift feels nasty or you have linkage problems then go for it. id get a quick shift 1st tho

theres alot of slack in the gearstick, was thinking of either standard linkages or these ones?

Mate, I got some fitted to my car. There of good quality. More Rally based I think as there quite heavy duty. There just designed so your linkages can withstand more rigorus gear changes.
If you have slop in your gear stick, its your main linkage.

BTW, a quickshift tightens up the gear change NO END! I could not recommend one enough!

i rate the quickshift too i got mine from ebay for 60 quid

is the main linkage hard to change? any idea on a price?

also the pin that goes thru the rod that comes out of the gearbox can get worn, this causes it to be slack from side to side.. its only 12p to replace.. and makes a hell of a difference

Where did you get your quickshift from Col?
I got a compbrake one from them direct.
But its the same as the GMC one. I wanted the B and M, but I could not justify spending over £120 on a piece of metal.
