im a little new to this, can some one explain alittle about what that oil tank is used for?

it just catches all the oil that comes out of the rocker breather, it stops it going back through the inlet or in this case all over the car!!!! lol... useful if you don't have the breather pipe plumbed into your induction kit as those little crank case breather filters piper-x do are shit and spray oil everywhere!
