Been to my local garage to have a bit of welding done to the exhaust.
Anyways, my mechanic, who I trust 100% and is v. reliable, has told me I might need to get a new manifold in the next couple of months, cos mine has a decent size crack in it.

He showed me, and said it was quite unusual for a Saxo manifold to go like mine is. He's gonna get me a quote for a new one, but I was just wondering what the alternatives are to having a new, standard manifold put on.

I'd prefer to keep the cat in place - can I get a performance manifold, though, or would I have to de-cat?

So the cat's in the manifold? You can get performance de-catted fanimolds but at a price :)

Btw, should be in the Saxo Engine/Performance section :)

You can get performance manifolds for the mark 2 with the cat still in the manifold, Janspeed do one..
