Is it possible to put a Dump Valve on a non turbo car, but not a black box with a speaker that is connected to the clutch, so when the clutch is released it makes an electronic pssh noise. A mate of mine was looking for something more realistic like a DV. Is there no were else a DV can be connected under the bonnet where pressure is released to make that noise? Cheers in advance

Its for a mate of mine he just wants the dump valve noise, but he doesnt want a fake one. Wants a proper one just without a turbo.

You can get ones which run off a tank of compressed air. They work similarly to the shoddy speaker one in that when u let off your accelerator it triggers a quick burst of air to be released through the valve. With it being compressed air though it makes the correct sound :)

There is a system that is avaiable on the market which is a speaker somehow linked to something which will give out a noise at a set time to imate a Dump Valve. It includes 130 dsbell speaker which can damage the human ear.

This system can be bought from Demon Tweeks as it is in there catalouge but I think he should buy it online as I don't think the demon tweeks bloke will be able to speak for laughin :-) sorry

No its not for a 1.1 my mate has a 1.6 vtr and he used to have a rs, which had a DV and he misses the noise and was wondering if there was anything on the market which worked along the same lines and gave the same noise but not a speaker which is linked to the clutch or accelerater. Cheers guys

There's no point, if he wants the noise tell him to go and buy another rs. Or turbo his vtr. THe most chavy thing i have ever seen, na cars trying to be turbo'd!

i got an idea for him, my mum ues them glade air wicks around the house, every few mins it makes a whatisshhhh noise and releases a lovely fraquence, maybe u could rig one up under your bonnet, you could also have the spray nossle near the arch so it looks like u have a nitrus purge valve or something...... proper bo

My mate put one on his 1.2 8v Mk1 Clio, told him not to but he doesnt listen. It sounds crap as there isn't the compression that you need. Thankfully he doesn't turn up down H/E

Good one! Ill tell him there isnt anything he can do without getting a turbo. I thought as much was just wondering if there was anything else that is the same or similiar without using a speaker. Cheers guys
