im considering buying an air filter for my saxbecause im told that you get alot more grunt rom ur engine and sounds sxy but im just wondering is this true and if so does having a 1.1 make any difference oh and will i notice any gain in power etc (power gain not that important but a plus)??? all help appreciated smileys/smiley2.gif

no you wont notice any more power, it may feel a little smoother providing you get a substantual cold air feed to it but a power gain is more than likely out of the question

Hi Spaz hi guys.
I have a Saxo 1.1i and i have installed a new air filter.
I haven't seen any diference in the power but i have notice a change in the attitude of the engine. She breaths a lot of better. If the air filter has a good in diameter tube the air flow to engine is much better.
The same goes also to C2 & C3.

on fezzes, the best combi is a panel fitler to replace the old one, then drill holes in the bottom box so that more air gets in (like a ind kit works) and lets out the induction roar. sounds crazy good 2. and with the filter surrounded by the panel box no hot air gets in smileys/smiley4.gif

the holes that are made are made under the filter so that if dirty air gets in, it gets filtered as normal.

anyone tried this idear on a saxo, it works on a fez, and shown to be getter gains than an induction kit.
