Well ordered my Saxo fit- Group N/OMP straight through exhaust. £315 Delivered (also ordered some nice new mk2 angel eyes :p )

Here's the exhaust- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=014&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=330059643730&rd=1&rd=1

Now im about to order a manifold- Is the Raceland for £135 posted a good choice??

And what about induction kit?

I currently have a Brand New Powertec, but i think a BMC would perform better?

Exhaust looks tidy, wouldnt mind swapping my backbox for one with a smaller exit pipe, mines a 3.5" or 4" magnex

I'v just ordered a raceland 4-2-1, there not the best but for £130 deliverd i couldnt argue :P

BMC or a Viper are top choice i recon. Or you could go for the raceland enclosed with a green filter as a cheaper alternative to a green forced kit.

Theres a bmc look-a-like on ebay too that someone has recently bought, might be worth seeing what they think of it. Think it was stevenet15?

forgive my dumbness but ive ben confused about this for a while lol.... would you not be using a cat with an exhaust system like that? or is it in the manifold? does it not pass an MOT without the cat?

That short pipe on the right is the decat, If you have a cat in the manifold your ok, if not then that pipe will replace your catalyst so come mot time u need to replace that pipe with the standard catalyst again.

that omp is going to be loud....

Get a BMC induction kit, as you wont need any "bad boy" engine roar with a group N zorst. Im really impressed with my BMC.

Goign to be very loud, dont think there road legal, also the tiny pea shooter tip will look daft comin gout the back of a saxo.

Would have rather bought a piper and scorpian exhaust which will look better

I thought these days you couldn't forge the emissions on the MOT as its all computerised!

Personally i reckon a magnex or something would have been better and 98db is going to be flupping loud.

Theres always tricks, iv heard of people putting paper or cloth or somthing over the emssions sensor on the test machines etc

Ive heard these and they are AMAZIN. With the addtion of the 421 manifold and anykind of enclosed filter the car will seem completely different.

Going to pair it p to a Raceland manifold and BMC filter.

then once i sold the £700 of brand new ICE im going to either buy cams or proper suspension kit.

Just for the record, not VTS'ing it anymore, taking it as far as possible without a Supercharger or Turbo, then when im 18 possibly add one of the 2.

TBH a VTR is plenty fast, it crazy quick in my opinion as a new driver. I hate the extremely short first gear tho.

OOOOO OMP I look forward to some videos of this puppy I was very tempted but went for the more decibel friendly magnex.

I raceland 421 and cant complain although the BTB ones are suppose to be better.

IN regards to airfilter its got to be GREEN all the way :)

if your after a good filter, try the new k and n twister, they are a universal kit, for £170, i just bought one for my vts and they work extremely well, very impressed with it

The OMP ones are good but can be loud.

I personally would of gone for a mild steel one as the s/s ones have very thin metal.

As for the manifold, it depends what your going to do next, if your gettin some high lift cams then the 4-1 ill be better because your peak power will be higher and that is more suited to a 4-1 manifold, but if your leaving it how it is now a 4-2-1 will be fine.

Induction kits are all much of a muchness imo, you never see big gains with them, enclosed are much better a they dont get heat soak. You cant go wrong with the BMC or Green, they are both very good bits of kit, but the green is prone to cracking.

Your OMP Exhaust looks sweet but I agree it will look a bit dodgy on a Saxo.
And that tail pipe sticks out way to much on the Saxo I saw it on.

Got for a BMC I say mate, most people on here recommend them and plus
they have a small filter box so it looks neat and tidy too.

Supposidly the 4-1s are better for more top end power while 4-2-1s are better
for mid range power.
I personally doubt that this is the case (in small french cars).
A good manifold will be one thats been designed well with all equal branch
lengths. If the cars being tuned to crazy levels then your decision of
manifold would have to be looked over more wisely.

Raceland should be fine.
