is there any bigger engine that can be fit into a saxo other than a vts, such as 205 gti, 306 engine, etc. I kno they may not fit straight in, but anything can be done ;) within reason,

if you have upwards of 5k then you can fit a bigger engine. No real need the vts engine is good for 270 at the wheels thats been proved so far...

Theres lots of topics on this other engines fit in but then theres more weight and lose of handling and its alot of work. Everyone will recommend just tuning the vts engine

Stick a type R engine in the boot see Z cars for details.

lol yeh i was gonna come in with a big 'USE THE DAMN SEARCH (http://www.saxperience.com/forum/search.php)BUTTON'

But then i noticed people had acctually decided to answer this highly repetitive question positivly.

So ill follow suit and offer some meaningful input into the thread.

I've chosen to answer this question with another question, possibly the most asked question on the forum, or any forum for that matter:

Will you use the search (http://www.saxperience.com/forum/search.php)button?

Thanking you :)

To be honest if your look further afield than just blown tuning (turbo/Supercharging) the money spent could have gone towards a more powerfull and suitable platform.

You really have to ask yourself is it worth spending 5k on a Saxo when you could get a Subrau for that kinda money.

If you have the money anything can be done, I think everyone has seen the twin engined Golfs which proves money is really the only limit.

Imo Bolt on tuning Air filters, exhausts and change of cams and remapin is about as far as NA tuning should go IF you still plan to keep it as a daily drive. If you can afford the car to be Just abit of fun then Z cars or JamSport are the people to talk too :-)

tbh if everyone used the SEARCH button, this site would turn into an archive instead of a forum?

A diesel engine is in theory a better performance engine.

the TU engines are fine and very tunable, dunno why any one would want to put a bigger lump in the sax.
