Hi Guys,

Im buying a X reg (2000) VTR next week i want to know the best mods that dont cost that much. So air filters, exhaust, chips, interior etc.

Just a random question, please state rough costs to guys.

Cheers

Manifold - £120ish
Full Exhaust system - £300ish
Air filter - £150+ for enclosed
Cams - £300+

these are rough prices, obviously it depends if you buy them second hand or not, and where you get them from! tbh modding cars ain't cheap mate!!

Personally, I'd bearly bother with engine mods, brakes and suspension are where the gains can be had

Strip it, Breathing mods (zorst, induction kit, manifold), Cams/Remap

Or buy a vts engine for less than the above.

Deffo go down the VTS route.

Standard brakes are rubbish and need to be sorted ASAP

As for the suspension, its not too bad but if youve got the cash go for some Blisten dampers and some -40mm GMC springs. Best combo, but there not cheap. In my oppinion i wouldnt even bother with a cheap set of springs as the standards will be just as good if not better.
