does the raceland 4.2.1 manifold fit straight onto a VTS mk1 1999 model without any issues?

straight fit, its only MK2 (CAT in Manifold) where you have to move the oil filter

yeah should fit stright on mate, mine did on my mk2 vts, ive heard of people having to use a smaller oil filters but thats on different manufacturers of manifold

before anyone sais it i have fited the cold air feed i jsut forgot to take the pic when i was finished lol

No vts model has cat in manifold dude ;) its only the vtr that has (mk vtr that is)

thanks mate, its not finsihed yet, need a battery cover, few more bits sprayed posi blue and i got a new alternator comming in next few days which i am going to polish up

yeah seems great for the money mate, even tho its enclosed it still almost as loud as my old open piper filter

do you lot not think the quality of these racelands is shit? i fitted 1 for somoeone and its made from tin foil!!!!!!!

i personally had no problems with it fitting, 2 of the bolts were a little tight but nothing someone with 2 brain cells couldnt do, also before i bought it i saw post about the racelands metal was real thin but when i got mine it didnt seem any thinner then any other ss manifolds and for the money you cant complain as it cost half the price of other manifolds

maybe mine was a one off then, didnt seem to thin, very strong a sturdy and the welds all seemed a good'un. but then as i'm a mechanic i fit alot of different manifolds accross a varied amount of cars so what u see as thin i see as normal as its about the same thickness to manifolds i have fitted to corsas, puntos, golfs, subarus, etc....

people have had them glowing red on a standard vts, so they must be thin.
