yesterday a went to meet fellow sax member bobby on poppin my bonnet to show him my new raceland enclosed filter a seen smoke coming fom the bottom. turns out it was touching the manifold.so had a look and turns out it was hitting power steering bootle. so back to the garage remove bottle
a attach to bolton block which then holds filter in correct place.luckily the heat didnt melt right thro it.

lol, well said ratty. there are so many people that fit these induction kits without securing it to the slam panel.

My mounting bracket accidentally came into contact with the possitive battery terminal, causing a small fire and a boild brake pipe. Amazingly I got away with it. Idiot mistakes happen to all of us occcasionally. Still no excuse though

I had a fecking procomp thing, that was bolted to the slam pannel but wear and tear rived it off and i drove to santa pod with it stuck to my manifold, that was a fine waste of £300
I hate the simota/raceland etc etc ones, like killie-vts says, there's never any destructions for the novice modifyers and anything that requires cable ties is a proper botch!

lol, with the simota i got (£130 not £70 ebay job), you get a braket to move your PAS, and the tubing has a flexy rubber join so engine movement wont fuck it.
