C2 Vts rocker cover onto saxo?

Is the C2 vts rocker cover a direct fit for the saxo vts engine?

I know Bic is using it on his engine but i think he has an entirely different head all together?

Help?

the 8 outer bolts look fine fitment wise but the 6 centre ones look like they wouldn't match up

Thats what i was thinking Sean but are the six cenre ones not to hold the centre strip in place?

Similar to the rigid black plastic bit in the centre of the saxo rocker covers??

Maybe with those six bolts removed it would reveal more bolts underneath which would match up???

yeah having looked at it again i see what you mean. well if the 8 outer bolts go on then i don't see why it wouldn't go on.

lol i hade the same fun trying to order rad hoses for a mk2 vts engine in a mk1 vtr - "erm so you have a mk2 saxo" 'no i have a mk1 with a mk2 engine in it', " you have a mk2 vtr then", ' nope i have...fuck it i'll phone samco'

It will fit. Amazed they sold you one though. I tried getting a sensor from Pug for the saxo and they told me to do one

when your down the breakers.. get the chassis numbers of a c2 and a 106gti.. and post them up... :P could be handy for a few people in the future...

hmmmm, some guy is telling me that they have dual breather pipes so i't guessing that would be the two nipple efforts mid way down each cover...

If you look at bics pic thats what the braded hoses are running too
Supposed to be a lot better than the old system of just one breather

they do have dual breathers as the C2 block doesnt have the return to the sump for the breather from the head, dual breathers are better anyways so you can use them for oil catch tank or plumb back in.

Using this peice of logic, how would you go about piping them up?would you run two pipes with oil breathers on each?I know there is absolutley no sense in joining them up as the oil would not breathe, but this diagram demonstartes my mastery of MS Paint...

You could run 2 pipes and I would put them both into an oil catch tank rather than oil breather filters

Or you could get a couple of bits of pip and run them into a T-piece so you just have one outlet coming out the passenger side - same as you would on a normal gti cover :)

well mr dixon, you run them seperatly or t-piece them together like its on the C2 and then you can run it anywhere you want, its best to put them both to a catch tank.

....this is going well, i just so happen to have a catch tank in the garage doing sweet FA, so i run them both into the catch tank, then pop a little breather on the third nipple of said tank and Bob's you're uncle...

Except I would suggest to cut down on the amount of piping you need that it would be best to mount the catch tank in the engine bay somewhere ;)

Oh yeah and put the oil feeds int the side and the filter on the top - otherwise when you corner hard the oil will run into the filter :)

anyone know the answer to this yet then? coz i know the c2 vts has bigger valves in it than the saxo vts, hence the further 5bhp the c2 vts has. will it all line up? coz i heard you have to drill some holes? and rethread them? any help appreciated.

isnt the c2 vtr 16v?? so it won't be the same as a saxo vtr being 8v..

drops straight on, you just need to refit the inlet manifold as stud pattern is different, and choose the correct head gasket for compression ratio and off you go.

yeah they do pauley. i've done a bit work on steves engien and each rocker has a breather, BUT, it goes into 1 then attatches to the inlet by 1 pipe. if you know what i mean? oh, you will need the pipes aswell :P

Easy and at under £40 bargin - For all those in the lightening crew the Plastic items should be lighter than the alloy items already on the car. I brought this up a while ago but didnt get this amount of response.

I personally reckon it looks great and is a refreshing look compaired to the standard Saxo item :clapping

Couldn't you just put two of the little oil breather filters on? Or one into the induction kit and then a stand alone oil breather filter?

How do you seal these ones down or do they come with the oil seal attached?

You can buy the seals as serperate parts from citroen,

On ssc some one has posted pics of how badly it rubs on the mk1 looks cack imo! Puts a big dent in the coil pack cover.

old thread I know but where did you get them for under 40? or is that per side? as for the lot I got prices or 90 roughly
