lol, a mate of mine is selling a saxo 1.1 gearbox, this fits mine doesnt it? straight on like?, and i read somewhere it will make my car faster, this true? as the ratios are smaller or something?, but anyway, he wants 50quid for it, i dont want to buy it then it not fit,
nice one sax-p :Y:

yep they are interchangable.
wont give the car anymore bhp, but will make the acceleration a bit better due to the shorter ratios. but it wont be ferrarri quick :) just a mild difference.
not sure if they are weaker than the vtr/vts boxes or the same??
give it a go ;)

I have a 1.1 box in my VTS..
feels as if its in better nick than my old VTS box.
Same ratios too.

Think one of my mates with a supercharged VTS has a 1.1 gearbox in his! And he suggested that i get a diesel 1.5 gearbox when mine went as theyre stronger.

They are all the same, just a different final drive. No difference in strength etc

everywhere i read they are all the same strength, think im going to go for this 1.1 box, but top end will be shit, but i dont do 100mph everywhere.

gearsets are different between vts and 1.1 box, also the 1.1 box has a smaller diff than vtr/vts box, but it's a straight fit.
