Just fitted them on my saxo, so I guess I have to let the Quinn Direct know. Shouldn't change anything on the policy should it.
Also I know about having to let them know about alloy wheels but if I am going to put a VT* kit on the car, would I have to let Quinn Direct know aswell?

They'll probably reduce the premuin as know one will want to steel it now.

Did letting the insurance company know about the alloys on the car do anything/much to the price of your insurance?

I was a bit naughty and didnt declare mine as the policy was up for renewal pretty soon after the alloys went on. Bad i know :(
But when it came to declaring on the new policy it didnt make any difference... but i haggled like a mofo.

Quinn diect don't charge for cosmetic modifications but you have to let them no.
In my opinion, take them off straight away and put them in the bin.

Im going to change to Quinn Direct today as Direct Line are a pile of shite and will up the charge if i lower the car and put alloys on...
Does lowering the car affect the charge with Quinn? Or are they not so bothered?

Simple... If in doubt, ask!
You should declare ALL modifications no matter how big or small. It's then up to your insurance company to tell you what effect (if any) it has on your premium.

As said before ALL modifications should be declared on your insurance.
"Cosmetic" modifications dont or shouldnt make any difference to your premium but performance mods will.
At the end of the day if you modify your car your better declaring the mods because if you have an accident and an assessor is sent out to llok at your car and sees that theres mods on it which haveint been declared theyu will just walk away from you and you wont see any cash. An insurance company will look for any way possible to get out of paying a claim. I WORK INSURANCE thats how i know.
Any other questions drop me a wee PM and ill c what i can do
