Hey could anyone tell me what a group n exhaust is? what makes it "group n" and wot is "group n"? lol not a cloue! cheers

group N is a rally spec, there is group n and group A. Basically means its a god damn loud exhuast as all they care about it power not noise limits etc for MOT's. Hope this helps.

cool kinda get the jist of it, is it basicly having the exhaust decatted and no silencers? also what is group A then? thanks

just a very unrestrictive exhaust, allows the gases to flow out better.

yer, all they want it the maximum power form the exhuast because emissiosn and noise dont matter. group A is a lower rally class, group N is like the WRC cars i think.

it means it complies with regulations to exhaust systems for that race/rally series.
noise does matter, limit for group N is 98db.

and its is far from WRC.

you would need to read the regs for that group/series to see what the exhausts have to comply with.

Yeah Group N is just another class for rallying. More road based cars.

I could go into detail but there are things like you cannot adjust the suspension geometry and you have to keep a certain amount of trim in your car.

had a group n scorpion exhaust on my car and wasnt that loud.

there isnt really 1 best exhaust imo.
