hi people
been thinking for a bit now and yes my head hurts i have a vtr with the cat on the manifold if i get it decated and i have a road side test for emissions it will fail :n: my brother-in-law is a m.o.t tester and he says that thay take ya car off ya and charge ya storage untill ya have a cat is this true ....... can i get a performance manifold with a cat on it or is there any point:P

never heard of roadside testing to be honest? do you mean where the police pull you over and test your emmisions??? i thought all hat was to do with MOT

no the transport department can pull ya over its mainly for desil cars tho

I've never known anyone have an emissons test by the police. An aftermarket manifold with a cat on it isnt available as far as I'm aware.

its the VOSA mate, they will rape you if your car wont pass an MOT. However they have to publish when and where they will be doing roadside tests on their website so dont worry.

so do i get one what will be the ganes all i know is that the cat holds alot of power back some how is it worth it or what or the other mods if i leave the cat on

those with decat have you told your insurance? what did they say?

You should see a gain of about 3-5bhp with decatting an adding a manifold, maybe slightly more. You will notice the car being more responsive.

iv heard of the tests but never heard anyone been stoped
cituning do a manifold with a sports cat in but is about 400

i havent had a cat on my cars for the last 5 years and never had a problem with police.
