My VTR's drinking fuel like nothing, :drink: about 20 to the gallon if my calculations are right (but i dont think they are cos even a fully race prepped sax would do more mpg than tht wouldnt it?!) and pops and burbles on the over run even though its completely standard (which does sound ok sometimes lol) but im thinking overfueling so its running rich hence the burbling and popping.... anyone experienced this before, or got any ideas, induction problems, injectors?? cheers!

CAT could have had it. in effect making your exhaust seem likes its been de-catted and thats what could cause the terrible MPG and pops/bangs.
also do remember in winter/cold days it takes longer for the car to warm up so using it for short journeys will kill the petrol.
if your sure its over fuelling try fitting after market fual pressure regulator and get it set up on the rolling road.

when was the last time it was serviced? if it's been a while then give it the full going over- plugs, fuel filter etc etc. does it feel sluggish or does it still pull as normal?

Sorry to change the subject slightly but beastgtir has said above that if the CAT has had it then it would have a terrible MPG. Does this mean that if you decat your car it will use a lot more petrol? Sorry if that sounds stupid.

Yep it will. it will reduce backpressure and exhaust gases will flow out quicker.
im sure someone can explain in more detail
