If it's a W reg mate, you'll have the MK1 engine in it which produces 90bhp.

Like Matt said about the ECU - 1 Plug = 90bhp and 3 Plug = 98bhp.

how do i see what plug the ecu is then??

rite so the vtr mk2 has a 3 plug ecu and an xtra 8 bhp and the mk 2 vts has a 3 plug ecu but is the same bhp, why?

Yates

mk2 vtr and vts arent the same bhp

mk1 vtr - 90
mk2 vtr 2000 - 90
mk vtr 2001+ - 98bhp

all vts are 120bhp, sure the mk1s are 1 plug ecu and the mk2 are 3 plug ecu

I no the vts and the vtr arnt the same bhp, you missed my point, i am saying that the mk2 vtr has a 3 plug ecu and an xtra 8 bhp on the mk 1 and the mk 2 vts has a 3 plug ecu but is the same bhp AS THE MK 1 VTS 1 plug, why dose it not give the vts mk2 more power?

mk2 vtr and vts arent the same bhp

mk1 vtr - 90
mk2 vtr 2000 - 90
mk vtr 2001+ - 98bhp

all vts are 120bhp, sure the mk1s are 1 plug ecu and the mk2 are 3 plug ecu

wrong

Mk2 vtr manufactured after september 2000 are 98bhp

wrong again. Build date makes the difference, not reg date, citroen hold stuff in stock for ages sometimes.

My friend has a '99 vtr. 98bhp engine which is the silvertop. Blacktop is 90bhp which was made '97 to early '98. Never mind all this stuff about ecu's. Just look at the colour of the lump in the car!!

I stand corrected..... Didnt realise there was so many variations. I was convinced that only mk2 had cat in manifold, regardless of engine etc
