As you know i havent had it long, gave it to my mate at citroen to look at and he said there was alot of oil when looking up from underneath?
So we assumed it would be the rocker covers, which i was getting replaced anyway, so he steam cleaned it and fitted the new rocker covers which also had new seals on them....
When i got it back it all looked nice and clean :)
But tonight when i pulled off my drive there were a couple of wet patches on the floor where the car was warming up (looked like oil)
When i was out i parked up in a lit area and had a chat with the mrs, must have been sitting there 5mins or so, then reversed back got out and had a look on the floor for any more, but there wasnt any?
When you look up underneath the engine bay to the left where the cambelt sits it looks covered with oil, also the right side appears the same?
Checked the oil level and its fine?
Am i in trouble?

Yes thanks alot mate, i think it is that :y:
If its only a seal thats an ok thing right? As it wont leak that much and can be replaced?
Looks like a big job to replace though......

Yeh if it is that then i would just keep an eye on your oil. It looks quite a hard job but if your due a cambelt cange soon? then you could get it done then.

Ive got the same leak only on my vtr mate it happens on most saxo's after a certain age they leak from the head at the left hand side theres a little oil seal on the gasket what works loose some how triangular shaped and it allows oil to leak

I thought when the head gasket has gone the water goes a funny colour and you get white stuff under the oil cap? Havent got any of this?
Hard to get pics as you have to look up from under the bay!

No its not the head gasket its part of the seal of the head gasket doesnt mean your head gasket has blown and is mixing the water and oil all it is is that the oil seals on the corner of the gasket has come away allowing oil to seep from the head

Ahh right may be that then as it is coming down both sides!
Is this easy to sort?

i can't work out where the oil is coming from by what you say, sounds like oil seals on head gasket. if its on front and back of engine that is, unless you can clearly see it coming from oil breathers/rockers/ladders. if its coming from behind the lower crank pulley then it is the crank oil seal

Its got to be one or the other ^^
Ill get my mate to have a look, still goes well etc so i honestly think its just a seal :)
