the best way to go

lookin for the best car i can tune to get the most out of, dont know whether to go german, stick with french or try jap as i wanted to buy an older car so wouldnt have to spend much and spend bout £1500 on the egnine.
my mates got an xr2i going for bout £700 is temptin to snap that up.
