Hi,
Got a local garage to fit my Raceland 4-2-1 manifold, just been told that it is blowing quite badly even with the new gaskets :( what they have to do is fab up a thicker gasket to stop it from blowing, does this sound firmliar? if so where can I source a thicker gasket from.
Thx.

Is this a common problem as I need to replace my cracked Janspeed Manifold and was leaning towards a RaceLand 4-2-1 item, as it seems GMC 4-1's are outa stock and will be for a while

Hi,
Cheers for the replies.
Well apprantly the guy at the garage says he knows a local company who have 1mm thick gaskets which he's ordered & gonna fit.
He said he could fit a couple of normal gaskets (paper thick) but it isnt the right thing todo which sounds fair enough really.
He said they spent the entire day on it :fcuk:

@VTS_16v_Boy, as far as I know this is'nt a common problem, it's common to find the lower hanger does not fit/line up than the manifold blowing.

There's actually a off the shelf products you can buy for this type of problem.
HERMETITE Exhaust Assembly Paste.
Will look into this if this thicker gasket doesnt fix the problem.
