will this fit my 2000 'w' mk2 vts?

i only ask because on the magnex website decat pipes come in 2 flavours; 2000 and before, and 2001 on. i think this is mk1 and mk2's but with mine being a mk2 i presume i need a 2001 on even though my car is a 2000 plate. confused much!

The later mk2s had a lamda sensor in the cat (same as the one in the pic).

If yours is like mine, a 2000w VTS then it will fit but you'll need to either weld up the hole or bung it with a spare sensor or something

Tough one that!

I know one is longer that the other.

Although you have to remember that the later Magnex de-cat with the hole is slightly longer than the one without.

this is getting complicated - so i think i need the older de-cat pipe then?

If the part number is XCR PC01 it should fit.

Didn't realise there were 2 different lengths of de-cat:oops:

It all stems from the fact that Citroen made the Cat longer when they fitted the second lambda sensor. In order for the exhaust to still sit in the same place they therefore made the centre section shorter.

Imagaine it as below;

Cat | Centre Section | Back Box

[------][----------------][-------]
[---------][-------------][-------]

Thus in order to fit, all the aftermarket exhausts have to be made in the same way. If you start mixing them you might find you have an exhaust which sticks out a bit.

I had this problem a few years ago when I had a Borla centre section with a longer Cat.

The Scorpion I got subsequently sat better as I had the shorter centre section :)
