Ok today my supersprint center section arrived so off i went to the local exhaust fitting shop only to find the damme magnex back box isnt a direct fit infact its only a direct fit for a saxo when its coupled with its own center section so im looking to completely ditch the magnex back box and get a correct direct fitting back box good well named and with a nice raspy sound nothing to loud, and a group n is out of the question due to the ugly factor!.

Any suggestions thanks.

Havent got a clue what fits the super sprint center section, i could have told you the magnex wouldnt though, sorry!

The magnex backbox will be very easy to sell though!

Gota agree there mines abit butchered but its still a Janspeed and it sounds pretty raspy.

Ive got a 421, sports cat, Janspeed Mild steel centre section with a Stainless steel pipe replacing the centre box and then the Mild steel back box - Strange set up as it doesnt pop and fart, no louder than a twin box system till you get to 3k then between 4k and 6k (this is gona sound so gay but) it sounds like a ///M3 as the rear can gives out a really Metaillic note with a rasp too it. Dont know what makes it do it but it works for me :y:

think you will fine you might be able to get two types of magnex backbox fitment..one of them ( the later magnex to be made for the saxo mk2) has a long pipe with an open end on it to connect (slide over) the centre section, this is different to the standard fitment for a saxo because firstly, the pipe that connects from backbox to centre pipe is longer and also does not have any sort of fitment like the stadard one would, my magnex one is like this so i chopped the centre section, opened the end of the pipe off the backbox up and slotted it over the centre pipe and clamped it down..

Ive seen afew pipers about now and I deffently think there well worth the money also its gives a nice note, mite depend on the tailpipe you pick that may change the note.

Small tailpipe for a more raspy note where as a larger tailpipe and Opening (and not one like the Magnex that tapers in like afunnel) will give a more burbling deeper note

Manifolds and de-cats make it raspy more than any backbox.

OMP backbox's I.E the mild steel ones come with a 3.5" tail but are quite loud if you plan to get a manifold. I presume the supersprint centre section does away with your centre box?

Get a Scorpion or Piper buddy!

Or even a Supersprint!

I've got a 4" slash cut piper backbox, with a 4-2-1 manifold and it is pretty raspy! May hollow out my cat and see what it sounds like then !!

Would definately recommend Piper, great fit and sounds sweet !!

With Manifolds they also need to bed in to get raspy.

My exhaust is too bloody loud and SO raspy but I love it.

Also you cant really do away with your CAT or centre box. You need either one of them. Keep the CAT i say to stay legal.

Its all to do with Sound Pressure waves and expansion in the boxes.

Ok ive just coupled the magnex back box with the supersprint center section giving a much nicer deeper tone now and sounds much better shame about it blowing from the cat the exhaust place hasnt sealed it properly doh! Oh well a visit tomorrow to sort it out

should fit, get an ashley de-cat pipe, if you bought it off ebay the system for the 98bhp is the same + a de-cat pipe so pm the seller ask him if can just sell you the de-cat pipe.
