Hi peoples would like some feedback of what manifold to go for with my proposed vts setup once i get the engine fitted...
enclosed induction
magnex exhaust system including decat and centre silencer removed
catcam 708s or something similar
remap with limiter raised apropriatly (but would like around 7800rpm)
so which manifold gmc 4-1 or a 4-2-1 design??
and also is peak power with 4-2-1 alot lower than would be if with a 4-1 ?(asuming both setups had been remapped)
thanks for looking and replying:P

4-2-1 is quicker off the mark, and 4-1 has a higher top end I believe

would a 4-2-1 happily rev to that amount of revs or would i need a 4-1 for that?

Both will offer a good gain in perfomance but as most people want that little bit extra higher up the rev range to take advantage of the twin cams power band the 4-1 would probally be better suited.
Bit anty Magnex as there are better exhausts out there, if your looking for good gains then Id recommend OMP as the exhaust is already setup to be cat-less. Check out YB racing on eBay as they are a OMP main supplier.

Kam-Racing do a great deal for us on Raceland 4-2-1s as mentioned these increase low & mid range but lets face it, if your racing your gonna use the bottom end once,.. as you roll off the line.
GMC 4-1 is the one to go with :y:

i am down about 55 or 60 mm at front about bout 55 or 50 at back, back sits slightly higher.
would this be a problem for the gmc scraping on speed bumpsand the like, anyone know ? ? ? ?
currently have on of those pro-tech 4-2-1 manifolds of ebay on my vts engine just now and havent herd it scrape but my magnex centre box did thats why its off!!

I have the gmc but it came with the car so cant tell!
I know some one who has the gmc 4-1 and a supersprint 4-2-1 he said the gmc sounds better but the 4-2-1 was better from performance.
