Im not even sure you know what a turbo'd car looks like mate i think you best have a good long think about your first post

erm why should he take a good long at his first post? Perfectly good question? The old pulsar gti r (one of the performance nissans anyway) ran bodies and turbo as standard
Answer is yes you can put throttle bodies on the turbo car, a few people make kits and you could use a bike kit but will obviously take more fabrication, need to move to stand alone management as well which is no bad thing

i always wondered if it was possible to run T/B's on a charged car too mate, so thanks for clearing that up scott!!

The TB's would need to be adapted to cope with the build up of boost. Its definitely possible though.
Guy on Retro Rides is using bike TBs on his supercharged Hillman Imp.

How is it possible though cause i thought all a throttle bodie does is pull in there own air for each inlet so would the turbo push into all 4 inlets via a trumpet like manifold? i cant see there been much point and what sort of gains is there and why isnt seen much if its something what will increase performance massively

sybez runs throttle bodies adn supercharger. Was 220 at the wheels but hasnt been reran as it isnt finished yet as far as im aware.
Custom plenum across the 4 bodies. Same advantage as throttle bodies on N/A where each cyclinder is pulling the air in it needs where it may have been robbed of some in a single TB setup. Few other advantages to

I dont know the ins and outs about it but, if you can do it, I'll sure be impressed :)

I was wondering this also, so is it easier to set bodies up with a supercharger?

Only if it's a centrepetal charger like the Rotrex. Using a twin screw positive displacement blower lands you in a whole world of hurt.
Makes no difference what's providing the positive manifold pressure really. You're gaining better and more immediate throttle response due to being able to more accurately control the 'slug' of air closer to the inlet valve than you can with a single TB and a plenum.
Only tricky bit is getting the throttle balanced, which seems to be a downfall for most people...

So I take it at present (from your name ant the nature of the question) your already running a blower on the 16v C2 lump.
Pictures of the engine bay and type of kit already fitted may help people to work out whatelse can be done to the engine your running at present.
:y:
If your already blown, better intercoolers and better placement of the induction system could see a better pound for pony gain, again pictures would help

TBs on boddies is becoming a better move. I know of a chap who bought a set of boddies just last weekend for £500. Fitting is a piece of piss and if you had a top mapper on it the gains would be worth it if you're already throwing that much at charging your engine. Not worth it if you've already set it up though and are planning no other changes

How much are throttle bodies? and what modifcations to a virtually standard engine would have to happen if any? how much performance would be gained from a throttle body on m mk2 vtr?

bodies and all the rest of it your looking around 3 or more grand

You're looking at £1500 before mapping and are only worth it on VTS's with lairy as fuck cams
