i read in a magazine that sst (saxo sport tuning) do two type of turbos, a low and a high boost turbo.
for a vtr a low boost turbo would cost £2000 giving 145 bhp.
the high boost cost around £3500 giving 165 bhp.
i was just asking if i got the low boost turbo will that mean i can beat a standard vts and also have a 0-60 time in under 7 seconds?

actually you should be able to beat a vts, but i have a vts and i beat a vtr turbo, which was said to be 180 bhp.

saxo sports tuning thats a blast (literally) from the past!
they no longer exist and its probably for the best!
though with thought them the saxo market might not be what it is today.

i'm also interested in turbo'ing my vtr. I've been quoted 2800 from Cituning for a kit that runs 6psi boost. does anyone know what make and model the turbo is?

6psi is equal to 0.4 bar, its seems to be a bit less, i would suggest you for gettin al least 0.6 bar, which is 8.4 psi

i was told that the kit only runs 6psi so that no head or ecu modifications are required. if i was looking to run 8.4 what sort of mods are involved.
cheers

you need to change the pistons and piston's amrs, or what ever they are called.
