Does any1 know if there is any difference between 1.1 and VTS struts. Apart from the brakes.
Is there actually any physical stucture difference between them or are they the same

hmmm thats a bloody good question that!

some difference that i know of are where the anti roll bar joins on them, on most VT models the anti roll bar is connected to the strut by drop links, on some smaller engine models the anti roll bar connects directly to the wishbone arm.

Physically i dont think there is much difference but spring and damping rates will be different

cause im going to be running VTS engine with 1.1 gearbox, driveshafts and struts. But I am changing the calipers and brackets, discs, pads on my 1.1 struts for VTS calipers etc.
Do you think there will be any problems running it like this??
I also never thought about the anti-roll bar, will cause any problems using my current roll bar etc??

Cause basically i managed to source a 03 VTS engine, ecu, wiring loom, manifold, mountings everything apart from VTS box, driveshafts and struts so I'm just going to use mine.

there really shouldnt be any problems, the anti roll bar shouldnt cause many problems either

if it helps, i can confirm that the lower ball joint from a 1.0i ax will fit into the vtr struts.

Another thing.....

I'm still using my 1.1 radiator and fan. This is smaller than VTS 1

Do you know if there is any difference between the VTR and VTS radiator and fan setup or are they both the same.
If the are the same has any1 got 1 for sale cause I cant fooking find 1.
