hey...i have a rattle noise coming from my engine when im in low revs, sounds like its deffinitly coming from the engine, an chance some1 mite know wat this is.
please reply ASAP

Could be anyting rattling. Get someone to low rev for you and stick your head in the engine bay to see if you can pinpoint where the noise is comming from. Normally a ratting is something loose as opposed to anything major.

first thing to check is all heat shields and nothing else is loose
then let us know if its still hapenng

get in that engine bay and see whats rattling use the throttle cable in the engine bay if its only happening when you rev :)

I had this problem. From listening it sounded like tappets. I took it to a mate who works at AUDI and he said it sounded like tappets. Another garage said it could be a fuel injector!!!
It was suggested that I change the spark plugs, oil, and oil filter first as these effect the fuel injectors and can cause this noise. I would also recommend checking the bracket that joins the back box to the pipe. Mine was loose and was causing a brief rattle through to the engine bay at around 2000 rpm.
Ive done this and it appears to have stopped.
