Hi,
Im looking for a back box for my 1.1 mk2 and cant find any magnex ones... Dont think they do ones for 1.1's (Correct me if im wrong) But seen a few nice looking Peco ones.
Just a bit of info needed really, would a mk1 Peco back box fit a mk2 because on all of the sites ive looked at the decent pipes are all for the mk1's?
Also, If i was to fit a Peco back box myself. Would i be able to do it easily? Are the clamps in right place etc?
And as a matter of opinion, what size do you think would look best on a modded but sublte saxo? 4" maybe a bit over the top?
Thanks in advance
Tom

sure you can get a magnex for a 1.1 seems every saxo has them
aslong as you dont get a universal 1 you should be ok with fitting

They do round my area, most hang way to low but theyre spot on when you cant really see the box, just the pipe.

www.demon-tweeks.co.uk sell universal fitting Magnex back boxes with a choice of tailpipe designs - that and making a VTR/S item fit your exsisting system is the only way your get a magnex to fit your 1.1.

Magnex look like this and will hang very low on a base model
To be honest unless you really want the magnex box for looks it could be a waste of money as you wont see very much in increase in performance.
there are plenty of cheaper mild steel options that wont break the bank and will be more of a direct fit too.
Spotex and Peco exhaust as good quality for the money and will look almost as good as the magnex but do the same job for less money and with the added bonus of having a bigger selection of tailpipe options.
check out www.tuning.co.uk for sportex exhausts and www.performancecentre.co.uk for peco exhausts. Both should be about the £80-£100 mark for a back box - about the price for a Magnex universal box from Demon-Tweeks but you would have to have it fitted by an exhaust shop as it will need hangers fitted and so on.
Hope thats of some help :)

yeah will do if your getting a back box
if getting a cat back though
if your catalyistic convertor is in the manifold it wont fit without a decat pipe for a mk1 exhaust

These seem to be the only ones you can get for a mk2 1.1 and i think that the 4" cut ones would look silly on a 1.1, so i'd maybe for the 3" outward or inward roll. What do ya think?
The pics on the key aren't very helpful though... sorry.

Yeh checked out that site, outward role is £145 on there and on www.lowering-springs.co.uk its £125 inc VAT :y:
Thanks for your help!
Will the 3" outward role make my car sound any better than standard or do i need a full system to do that?
Thanks.
