Am needing a new engine me thinks soon, done about 125,500 miles in my VTR (52 plate!!!!)

Lots of driving about and the like. Finally starting to get the car back up and running after 4 years of ownership! Has to be done!

Any ideas what other engines will fit in the engine bay without too many probs? looking to get a VTS engine fitted, but am having trouble finding one with a low-ish mileage. Failing that, what engines would actually fit into the compartment?

Looking to replace everything, ecu, egine, the whole lot! time and money advice would be ideal too!!

Greatly appreciated guys!!

vts is only 1 which is simple enough the rest will need custom parts and will be a waste as they will be to heavy for the saxo sheel and ruin handleing

ok, on that note, anyone got a nice vts mk2 engine for sale with ecu, barrel, everything i need basically? low-ish mileage, failing that i'll get rid of my VTR and buy a VTS

c2 engine would need lots of work to it to make it work

saxo vts u will need engine and loom ecu and the ecu side engine mount

only 125,000 miles..

I'd rather stick with a high milleage engine that I knew the history than swap for an unknown. Peugeots if well maintained will do high mileage.

Personally I wouldn't panic. Just keep it well looked after and it'll go on for some time yet.

i would of thought the peugeot 106 engines would fit, the gti is a 1.6 16 like the vts,

hmmmm would be nice but will be a tight squeeze, and im not entirely sure it will go straight in, you could either put it in the rear or do a lot of custom work in the engine bay
