hi ayone bike engined a saxo but the engine in the front with rwd so you can keep the back seats

I don't think anyone has done that. You'd have to chop up the chassis to run a transmission tunnel of some kind.. then a rear diff. Simpler to sit the engine in the back and chain drive an axle.

You could probably rob a load of parts of the lotus 7 style kit cars which run the same setup. This would limit the amount of parts you have to fabricate. With a little luck you may find that the wheel bases are similar.

Not going to be a cheap project though. Have you got a budget?

ive already cut the boot floor out i was gonna rwd it but i got looking on the locost builders site and sin alot used bike engines i think it would be easyer to go down that route. and i could have the flappy paddle change lol
on the floor in the boot theres a sort of box frame under the car that would be perfect to make a frame to mount a diff. then put an alloy cover in the boot cus i still want a boot

why do you want it in the front?

to make it more practicle like everyday use?

if so then as soon as you put more than 10k miles on it the engine will be considered "well used" and require regular maintanance, bikes arent really designed for such usage.

however, if you want to do it to be different then fair enough :)

Rushy, bike engined cars sound pretty much like a bike lol next time you see a nice GSXR cane off close your eyes and imagine a car driving off or better still just look at another car but listen to the bike!

i want to put it in the front because if i rear mount it you have all thr noise and smells and if i have to panel it all in ill end up with cooling probs or running pipes to the front of the car for the rad so i was gonna put it in the front where theres a big hole lol. and just run a prop shaft to the back then if i ever change my mine i can whip it out and fit a car engine back in and if i fit it in the back ill have to mess about making a chain drive diff but if i use a sierra diff if will push the engine to far forward ill post some pics soon
i just wanted to see if anyone had done it so i could have a look or ask what performance they got
