my mate has just gave me a flamerkit which he bought for his car but wont fit because it will void his zaust warranty. its just one of them basic kits. spark plug coil switch etc etc. wil this have any effect on my vtr? it has a 2 1/2 inch cat back custom made system.back fires quite a bit coming down the revs any ways. but i no on my old car these kits didnt work. i had to buy a frogford flammer with the butane bottle. anways anybody with a bit exsperience on this would be great

if your car is "back-firing", then maybe you need to make that your proirity and sort that out first!!
if you fit it you'll only look like a noob, and won't get much flame, only tiny little outbursts as theres not enough unused fuel exiting!!

why would i look like a noob! i modify cars how i like them not like how erverybody else exspects them to be modified! i like to have my own ideas. alot of people have very similar modifed cars. and yea they do look really good. but i like to be diffrent.
my list of cars i have owned not bad for a 22 yr old lol
1st car
1. mk1 106 rallye (lasted 2 months and got wrote off)
2. nova gsi. silk violet (sold)
3. mk 1 clio 1.2 red (owned for 3 weeks whilst waiting for the)
4 R5 GTT cadburys purple 180bhp ( owned for 6 months cost to much to repair every other week lol)
5.almera Gti black (got wrote off)
almera Gti black/silver heavily modified( owned for 2 years was in jap tuner mag and a few shows with club stands)
6. 306 hdi green ( owned for 2 weeks cudnt cope with a diesel
7 saxo vtr (which im driving now).
doubt ill fit the flamer anyways lol back to topic. mite just stick it on ebay. think thats were it originated from.
unsure why i have been labeld a chav etc. all from askin a question?
i enjoy this forum but dont like being called a chav like

after watching that vid i think not for the sax lol! and the backfiring is off the zaust i thought just pops and bangs a bit coming down the revs.

backfiring and popping are two TOTALLY DIFFERENT things mate!! your not being branded a chav by anyone! there just saying, when you see young lads in a Saxo, making crappy flames from the exhaust, the first thing that comes into their head is Chav!

yer there work on a vtr as i know that, need it de-catting, there do work if you bring the revs to the limter let them drop of n thats when the flames appear. mayby using the higher octane petrol also may give a few more flames. a tip.. wire it up with your cigerete lighter.

I wouldnt fit it, not keen on flame kits tbh, had my VTR front bumper attacked by an RX-7 with one fitted down southend last year. didnt know he had it and it shot a 6ft flame at me, leaving warped looking bumpers on the passenger side!
