any help would be much appreciated.:y:

been covered many many times.
but you need to have an engine from the same type of car.
single plug - single plug
3 plug - 3 plug.
otherwise wiring will be a logistical nightmare.
you cant use anything really from the 8v engine, the box is no use as the final drive gives it longer gearing.
alternator, starter motors could be used but should come on a complete vts engine.

need the engine loom from the vts.
there will be a few other bits that people like williams will be able to let you know. as mine isnt a normal conversion on mine

doesnt matter what year teh engine itself is from. its the wiring that will make it hadr or easy.
as above , if yours is 3 plug get a 3 plug loom and the sensors that match that loom. same if yorus is singel plug, get single plug stuff.

just read yours is single plug ecu. get the single plug vts loom, ecu and sensors and it'll be striaght forward.

i thought if you had a single plug vtr and you got a single plug vts you could use the vtr loom and just get vts sensors and ECU?

some of the sensors are different so the connections on the loom wont fit.

just thinking that if im changing the loom to a vts loom any way then how will it matter what number of plugs the ecu has or had?
Ryan

your only changing the engine loom!
NOT THE WHOLE CAR LOOM. so it will matter as the multiplugs are different.
