has anyone had this done if so how much did it cost, does it affect the cars realiability (LOL) just looking into mods now that will make my car quicker i got a filter and a cat back, thinking of getting a diesel centre section as no cat is this true?
also will be buying cams, anyone got any good info on what to go for?
im running a 98 VTR

to rebore a engine you need new pistons to fill the hole now really which you looking at £500 for a set.
Boring doesnt make a difference to a engine its only really for if your block is warn and is to smooth it back to normal but at a bigger size.

not worth it on saxos. you can stoke it but its stupidly expensive

boring an engien out increases its CC so it does make a difference. but an a TU engien the walls are too thin to safely remove enough material to make boring worth while. if you did want to increase your CC though you could get a stroker kit. there is plenty more things you can do before this though as it isnt cheap.

yes a diesel centre pipe will de-cat your car if the cat is under the car! for ease though i would just get a de-cat pipe second hand off ebay

if you did want to increase your CC though you could get a stroker kit.

icreases the travel of the piston, giving it a longer stroke, so increasing your CC. not cheap though.
