Thinking of buying a 106 GTI! If I put a raceland enclosed induction kit, 4-1 manifold, de-cat and magnex exhast! Will I see a big increase in bhp and by how much?

how long is a piece of string...
each engine will be different slightly..
but should expect a 5-10 bhp increase being conservative.

It's just I have a VTR on an 02 plate and the cat is in the manifold on this! I know they aint the same engine, well not exactly just wondering wether it would be the same!

The cat isn't in the manifold. It starts at about 10 inches after the end of the manifold.

What have you done to you're 106 mate? Just so I can get an idea on what to get for it to increase bhp!

Engine wise...
Ecosse closed induction with Green filter
Supersprint 4-2-1 manifold
Scorpion full system with cat bypass
Catcam 708 cams
Big valve cylinder head, ported, gas flowed, skimmed, all the usual...
ECU re-map done by Wayne / Chipwizards.
I suppose it's worth mentioning that I'm using Silkolene 5W40 race engine oil, and Denso iridium plugs.

So what bhp is it running at now then?

He wanted to know about the engine...? Why not, LOL. It could make a difference. I use the word 'could' in a innocent manner, hehe. I'm sure I saw some oil in Halfords called something like 'Classic car motor oil' and it was in a rust looking container. I bet you'd see some interesting performance changes with that! Haha.
Figures? Well, funny you should ask, I was ranting on about this the other day in another thread. Before the head change, it came back from Wayne's with 153 BHP. I had the head changed not that long ago actually, and I took it to Jam Sport where it showed 164 BHP. I wasn't all that convinced with their rolling road methods, nor their figures, so I decided to take it to a motorsort place in Cheltenham where I knew the RR wouldn't be all 'trevor'd' up! Haha. It made 156 BHP their, and then we had a play with the cam timing, by adjusting the inlet cam timing, (exhaust did see any real change) we got another 5 BHP and 4 lbft of torque, pretty much all they way through the rev range, bonus! So finished with 161 BHP. On that note, it would be around 170 BHP on Jamsport's rollers, which is just not a true figure...
Oh yeah, if you were 'LOL' at the oil I mentioned earlier, I forgot to also mention the copper based exhaust manifold wrap I'm using, bugger! HAHA.
