citreon £30 ish. not simple get a mechanic 2do it as they can check things like the belt tensioner etc etc it has to be the correct tension also so needs "mr i know what im doing" to do it lol. just had mine done also and needed a new tensioner. if the tensioner is gone engine goes bang bang puff pttsssh. . . . pop. lol

consolt ur haynes mate, have a read and see if ur confident, its not hard but people are scared of the timing but u lock the crank and the cams and then remove and replace the belt lining the marking on the belt up and then set the tension, it tell u how in the haynes, also to set the right tension the haynes shows u how to make a tension checkign tool using a door hinge or something lol
its only gona be about £60 to get someone to fit it 4 ya so might be easyer to get someone to do it but if u do it yourself u learn something and save urself a few bob plus means u know how to do it again when its next due

Valves start flying out of the engine lol.
Its meant to be replaced every 60k or 5 years i think, as citroen reccomend that is. If its getting close to either then you may aswell replace it to eliminate serious bills if it goes snap
