Anyone here know if there is a tried an tested uprated clutch around for the VTR? (2002 Silver Top)
Thrust bearing is being a nosy son of a Bi**h! so looking to get it replaced and new clutch while im at it .
Not looking for full on group n rally stuff, somet simple but tad uprated. spotted the black diamond gear which isnt too exspensive so tempted :) if funds stretch may get a B&M short shift while im at it

dont waste your money on a blackdiamond or any make like that there just reconditioned ones and wont last
get an LUK or VALEO

Valeo/LUK is fine. If the release bearing queeks you can just replace that, though its still a ballache so may as well do the whole lot

How much is a clutch release bearing to fix?
How many hours labour?
How much for the relase bearing?

Yeah basically im going down the route of "while its out" replacement ;) lot of labour to get just the bearing changed so might as well uprate it a tad
so reckon just stick to standard valeo one?

fair few hours labour cause they gotta pull the clutch out, and then refit

Soryr to be a pain but can you break it down?
So one release bearing and fitting = £70? ( £20 parts and £50 labour?)
How much is a clutch and how much is labour on that?

if the bearing is squeeking and ratteling id get it replaced asap as if not you run the risk of the bearing splitting and sending ball bearings everywere in the gearbox and could damage the gearbox which will cost more money to repair

well thats upto you what you do with it but if you leave it you run the risk of it going and causing more damage and costing more money
+ if the person knows what there looking for they might not buy the car cause of the noise
