When i am changing the camshafts do i need to change the followers or i can stay with the old ones? Is everybody here changing the follower when changing the camshafts?

alot of places say you should change them, although imo if the engine is low milage then its fine to reuse old ones as many have done this with no problem.
if you have the funds though might aswell get new ones.

I know it's good to change them, but they are not very cheap. So it will be very good if i can reuse them safely.

if memory serves me correctly, the cat cams partnumber is the same for a vts and a zetec, hence you could purchase the zetec ones from burton power for £8 each.

listed on the burton site under zetec e part number FZ211, £8.06 inc vat each. You'd need to double check this though.

cat cams list their cc018 lifters for the saxo and also for one of the ztec 1800 engines, and when I went to the burton site and looked under a zetec e, sure enough they have the hydraulic lifters listed in two sizes, one of wich being the 28.37mm. same external size as the vts. like I said someone should check this for sure, infact I'll do just that and report back with a defenate answer.

ok, have checked it out and there seems to be about 0.5mm difference in the depth, and 0.02mm in the diamiter, so my bright idea was not so clever after all.............
however, Newman cams list part number "dncfhl88" specificly for the vts and at £120 + vat (£141 inc vat) per set of 16 that makes them only £8.82 each including vat, aqnd at that price there's no excuse for people not changing them.
