im sure they have a clip like the dials, on the dials they dont plug all the way in, you have to pull the lever to fully plug it in if you catch my drift, get a pic of the plug :y:

is it a saxo or 106 engine
the looms are diffrent between them 2 as some 106 ecus are 2 plugs that maybe the problem

did you buy the ecu, loom and engine altogether? Are they all defo vts parts?
VTS only ever had a single plug ecu or a 3 plug ecu with no variations in them

I think the wire you are describing could go onto the part where the throttle cable attaches… you will have to put the top of your inlet manifold and throttlebody on
I swapped my loom over onto a gti engine today and had this left over at the end – I think there are 3 that go into the throttle body that are sort of grouped together then there’s one that goes into the other side of it? I’ll have to check in the morning though when its light
Not a clue what those black boxes are? As I said I did mine today (MK1 VTS) and never came across those? There was a black box that went under the ECU but it didn’t look like those lol unless its slightly different?
bertie
16th April 2007, 21:47
the brown and purple wire is the sensor wire for the knock sensor i was given the boxes with the engine

williamsvts
16th April 2007, 22:18
under the dash behind the fuse box. thats what the top pic is. have you got teh keys for that engine aswell? other that immobiliser is useless adn you'll have to pay to get ecu unlocked.
bertie
16th April 2007, 22:27
