just wondering what exactly is involved in changing a vtr engine for a vts one. gearbox and mounts and things and how much it would cost. smileys/smiley14.gif

My mate has just put a vts engine in his vtr and it cost him £500 for wrote of vts sp he got everything he needed and then did all the work him self, so if you have a mate or can do it yourself then its well worth while

now then mate ive jus had one done the vts engine cost me jus over £500 which came with everything i needed.i had the whole thing up and running in 2days.the engine was off a vts which had been written off by some bird.there are a few bits which are tricky eg.getting the vts keys to work but found it in the end.also the vts has a fuel return line which the vtr doesnt have so it does over fuel slightly but can be put in which is next on the list.
you'll also need the radiator and the fan off the vts as the vtr has a much smaller 1.
all thats left for me to have done is put my new scorpion system and new manifold on.

if u want anymore info jus pm me. smileys/smiley17.gif

did you do it yourself. i might look into it as the vtr is quick but i drove a vts the other day and that was amazing.
