At the weekend i thought i`d clean my engine, it all went well i left it running just to make sure but didnot cover the filter, now i only have 3 cylinders firing. the one nearest the gearbox isnt firing i have checked the plug and lead and they are fine. any suggestions

how do you know the plug and lead are fine, did you test it was spraking? the ignition coil may have got wet as well

i got the ignition pack tested at citroen today and have tried new plugs and leads and the plugs spark.
after turning the engine over a few times the new plugs are colpletely oiled up any ideas

could be worn piston rings or head gasket smileys/smiley5.gif
is it overheating or anything?

i have been told that the rings are on thier way out, head gasket has done less than 1k.
i think i am looking at a new block
