basically you're car will not be able to provide enough air or fuel for the cam. If it needs more fuel then you will need to look at bigger injectors minimum and most likely an aftermarket ecu to control everything, then you might as well sort the air issue out at the same time and bolt on a set of throttlebodies

standard ecu cant run bigger injectors.

i wouldnt go for the 270, no point really as you will hardly see a gain. especially without a remap.

get the bp285

cant really get them if i'v got to change the injection. bin talkin to me mate who can fit the cam for cheap, he said the 270 will be fine. he's got one in his and its not slow it keeps up wit my kids vts to 130mph.

thats your fault though for not doing the mods necessary to get the cam to perform correctly i.e. the remap

Yeah but i dont think this guy is planning on mapping it neither and was also told by many garages that sometimes you dont see gains on the saxo's with piper cams and they recommmended kent or cat cams. I mean if you looked at cammedvtr's he has 122bhp on the standard map port and polished head etc he was running a kent pt40 i think so i was trying to give the guy some advice that maybe another cam could see him better gains on the standard map :y:

Yes i had the standard injectors car was extremely lumpy upon idle but did improve once mapped and i got 120bhp on the vtr with breather modifications and bmc induction kit

i got a remap from a local garage to me for £290+vat. Chipwizards charge around £450 and come highly recommmened for saxo's i persoanlly would not pay the extra money but i have a top grade tuning garage pretty close to me who deals with some pretty top spec'd motors so i suppose its alot easier for me to just go there. Cams can be anything from £300-450 depending on weather or not you need the lifter's and followers im not really a expert on this im only giving advice on my own experience.
