Ok i need help! can anyone provide me with a picture of the point where the exhaust downpipe meets the flange near the mid section!

but most importantly showing the gear box links and the gear end...ie where the gear link throw is and how close it is to the exhaust....

Also might need in the pic the angle of the plate the bolts to the gear box from the exhaust! need something to compair to as having difficults with the alinement of the exhuast/ gear throw as its catching!

Have you recently fitted a decat pipe of manifold???

THe gear linkage gets very (VERY) close to the exhaust pipe, particularly in 2nd gear!

I remember years ago when I fitted my decat pipe, I dented the pipe in aby about 2mm to stop the tinkling/rattling.

I saw your picture post earlier, but wasnt sure which mount that was? It looked like the gearbox top engine mount smileys/smiley5.gif

im hving the same problem as ive just fitted a de-cat pipe and manifold and its catching the gear linkage!!!so is it just a case of bending the pipe slightly???

Well i managed it! wasn't fittign decat pipe ! just finished fitting a new gear box! due to me deciding hat the diff wasn't up for the job! but fitting the exhaust and it was slightlt bent needed to bend it back a bit!

But know have a shortened width box with better gearing! not bad for about 8 hours work!
